What Rank Forge accesses
read_products / write_products
Product & collection titles, descriptions and SEO meta. We write back only one field — the SEO meta description — and only after you approve the fix.
read_content / write_content
Pages, blogs and policies. The only write is a page's meta description tag, applied only after your explicit approval — and fully reversible.
Public storefront
sitemap.xml and rendered page HTML — read like any visitor, no token required, to run the on-page audit.
Reversible write-back
Every applied fix snapshots the exact prior value, so you can roll it back to byte-for-byte the original.
What Rank Forge never accesses
Orders, customers, checkouts, or any personally identifiable customer data. Rank Forge does not request read_orders, read_customers or related scopes — it is structurally unable to read them.
How your data is handled
- No AI on your content: the audit is a deterministic parse of your page markup — no LLM, nothing sent to a third party, nothing retained.
- Managed session store: Shopify access tokens live only in the app's session storage and are deleted on uninstall and on shop redaction.
- Deleted on uninstall: on app uninstall and on a Shopify shop-redaction request, all of your data is removed.
Honesty
The on-page SEO score audits your page's own markup — it is not a measured search ranking, position, or rich-result guarantee. Fixes are applied to your store only after you approve them, and every change is reversible.
